Standard Labor Costs
In general we work on a time and materials basis. At 01/01/2011, our standard rate is $95.00 per hour ($190.00 per hour between 6.00pm and 8.00am, weekends and public holidays), billed in 15 minute increments. Negotiations can take place on larger projects.
We are always happy to provide estimates for projects. Our estimates are as detailed as possible, but ultimately we will bill on actual time spent.
Travel Costs
All travel time is charged in one direction only. There are no additional mileage charges, however other expenses e.g. bridge tolls, parking etc. will be charged at cost.
Computer Repairs
Many computer repairs are much easier if completed in our workshop. The reality of computer repair is that many times processes can be started, but take some time to finish. During this time other work can be done.
Because of this, wherever possible, Valley Computers works on a fixed price basis. Examples of these are on the Home Services page.
Payment terms
Support work will be invoiced twice per month, payable within 10 days.
All material charges e.g. computers, servers etc. will be invoiced immediately upon agreement and prior to ordering. 65% of this should be paid immediately prior to ordering and the remainder upon installation.
Agreed projects will be invoiced in three parts - 1/3 (of estimate) prior to project start, 1/3 (of estimate) half way through project and the final invoice upon agreement of project completion. All invoices are payable within 10 days.
